Over the years, Lidingövallen has evolved, expanding and adapting to the needs of its athletes. In 2021, Lidingövallen underwent a significant transformation. The original track, once measuring a quirky 369 meters, was extended to a standard 400 meters. The football pitch, now a regulation 11-man field, boasts state-of-the-art features, including an automatic irrigation system. But Lidingövallen is more than just a track and field arena. It’s home to IFK Lidingö FK, the local football club whose players have graced its hallowed turf. Lidingövallen also houses a tennis hall, a phoenix risen from the ashes of a devastating fire in 1997. This wasn’t just a minor incident.
