The demolition of the bell tower wasn’t easy. It took three attempts to bring it down. The concrete was incredibly strong. The tower resisted demolition. Eventually though it succumbed. On February 7 2009 the tower fell. This marked the end of an era. The event even made the Stuttgarter Nachrichten.
