Don’t let its age fool you though; this bridge is a vital link between the districts of Margareten and Mariahilf, gracefully arching over the flowing Wien River. The Wiental-Steg isn’t just a bridge; it’s a testament to Vienna’s dedication to creating welcoming public spaces. This pedestrian bridge, part of the larger Wiental Terrace project, was built alongside the U4 underground line, offering a safe and convenient passage over the busy Linken Wienzeile road. As you stroll across its 33-meter length, take a moment to appreciate its modern design.
