“It’s the church that loves its people” That’s the motto of the Triumphant Church of God right here in North York Toronto. This isn’t just a building it’s a vibrant community. A place where people connect with God and each other. Established in North York the Triumphant Church of God has been steadfastly propagating the word of God. It’s experienced authentic changes in people’s lives.
The church boasts a rich history. It began as a vision to take the Triumphant Church of God to a higher spiritual and numerical plane. A soul-oriented and missionary church. A living organism. A center of deliverance where the brokenhearted and the sick are set free. A place of refuge for the destitute where they find strength.
The church’s mission is to create an environment conducive to spiritual growth. An inner court experience where people are continuously ushered into the presence of the Lord. They aim to build healthy relationships and renew their covenant with God daily. They believe the gospel transforms lives changing how people view God themselves and others.
The Triumphant Church of God is much more than Sunday services. It has several serving teams. These include outreach Sunday school follow-up ministry and community outreach. The outreach ministry equips and educates the congregation on missions both local and worldwide. Their aim is to motivate members to share the Gospel. The Sunday school aims to reach everyone teaching them God’s word so they can carry out the Great Commission. The discipleship ministry disciples new believers. It empowers and strengthens them through God’s word. They aim to develop deeper intimacy with God and experience real community.
Triumphant Church of God also hosts events like a summer Vacation Bible School. It’s a fun-filled week of Bible stories games and crafts for children ages 4-10. They also used to have an annual back-to-school backpack giveaway. However this was cancelled in 2022 due to COVID. In partnership with the North York Harvest Food Bank they provide food items to the local community every other Saturday.
The church’s vision is to see new visitors connected into the church family. They aim to build a community where no one feels unwelcome. Their goal is to ensure contact with every guest. They achieve this through follow-up calls written communications and visitations.
