“Ever wondered about the hidden life of a sports centre?” We stand before the Lai King Sports Centre a vibrant hub of activity nestled in Kwai Chung. Opened on March 25 1994 this unassuming building has witnessed countless games sweat and laughter.
Lai King Sports Centre isn’t just a place to play sports. It’s a community gathering space. It provides a range of facilities for the public. Think basketball badminton volleyball even squash. There’s a fitness room for those seeking a workout. A multi-purpose activity room is available for dance classes or other events.
Did you know Lai King Sports Centre also organizes recreational activities? Throughout the month different kinds of events take place. Everyone is welcome to join. The centre even has a baby care room. Parents can exercise knowing their children are safe. Conveniently located next to Lai King Estate and Yuet Lai Court it offers easy access.
The main arena can transform. It converts into a basketball court a volleyball court or even four badminton courts. Imagine the energy the cheers the fierce competition within these walls. There are also three squash courts each a generous 62 square meters. They even include table tennis tables. For spectators there are 250 seats.
Unfortunately the air-conditioning will be unavailable from March 1 to May 31 2025. Improvement works are being undertaken. Some facilities will close temporarily. Squash courts close from March 1 to May 31. The main arena closes from April 1 to May 31. This is for improvement works. We apologize for the inconvenience.
