Established on September 1, 1964, Nishiarai Second Elementary sprung from humble beginnings. It initially shared a building with Nishiarai First Elementary School. Imagine the bustling atmosphere as two schools coexisted under one roof. The very first principal was Masao Furutani. He oversaw the school’s early days.
The school’s official opening ceremony wasn’t held until November 4, 1964. This date became a cherished anniversary, marked with celebrations every year. The school wasn’t complete until the gymnasium was finished in 1968. A pool followed a year later. This signaled Nishiarai Second Elementary’s commitment to providing a well-rounded education. The school grew alongside the community. In 1972, children from Nishiarai Third district and Nishiarai town joined the school’s ranks. This further enriched the school’s diversity and vibrant spirit.

The children living within these districts all attend Nishiarai Second Elementary, creating a strong sense of community.
