1466. A momentous year. Not just for the birth of a child or the signing of a treaty but for the founding of U Medvidku. U Medvidku in Prague a name whispered through centuries. A name synonymous with beer. Specifically the strongest beer in the world XBEER-33.

U Medvidku isn’t just a restaurant. It’s a living testament to Prague’s history. Imagine this place a brewery then a cabaret. Later it became one of Prague’s biggest beer halls. This building has witnessed the rise and fall of empires. It’s seen kings and paupers alike. Their laughter and their tears have soaked into these very stones.

Picture this. The year is 1898. Small breweries like U Medvidku struggled. They couldn’t compete with the newer industrial giants. So they shut down. But U Medvidku didn’t stay closed for long. It transformed. It became a legendary beer hall a beacon for those who loved a good pint. And a good time.

Then came the 1950s. The socialist government seized U Medvidku. Neglect followed. The building fell into disrepair. But hope remained. In 1989 everything changed. U Medvidku was returned to its rightful owners. They embarked on a massive renovation.

They rebuilt the old malt house creating a house of beer. It included a brewery store and a congress hall. Most impressively they revived the mini-brewery. This marvel of historical technology now produces the legendary XBEER-33. A semi-dark special beer. A beer brewed using ancient methods and techniques passed down through generations.

The reconstruction wasn’t just about the beer. They also added a hotel. A luxurious hotel with 45 rooms boasting original Gothic rafters and Renaissance painted ceilings. It’s a testament to the blending of old and new at U Medvidku.

Today U Medvidku thrives. It’s a restaurant a hotel and a brewery all in one. It’s a place where history and modernity beautifully coexist. It’s a must-visit destination for any beer enthusiast any history buff. It’s an experience you’ll never forget. Come experience the magic of U Medvidku for yourself. You won’t regret it.
