The Památník obětem I. a II. světové války is in Prague-Zbraslav. Doc. Ing. Matouš Jebavý, Ph.D., an authorized landscape architect, designed it.

One notable memorial is dedicated to the soldiers. These soldiers served in the medical corps during World War I. They fell while rescuing the wounded on the front lines. This Památník obětem I. a II. světové války is located in a courtyard. It is behind the former New Town College on Karlovo náměstí.

A large monument stands in the middle. It features a tall pylon. The inscription reads “In memory of the world war 1914–1918”. A laurel wreath embellishes the inscription. Josef Fojtík and Josef Vála designed the memorial with a fountain. It honors the “Samaritans”. These were soldiers who served as medics on the battlefields of World War I.

The Památník obětem I. a II. světové války also has other sculptural elements. On the right, a soldier-Samaritan is in field uniform. These Samaritans rescued wounded comrades. They often did so under enemy fire.

The names of the fallen are inscribed on ten plaques. Sadly some are damaged. A figure of a woman is on the left. The following names are preserved on the plaques: S. S. N. Zimmelein and many more.

The Památník obětem I. a II. světové války underwent restoration. This included the sculptures and memorial plaques. The restoration took place in 2017 and 2018. An ellipsoidal pool or fountain with water sits in front of the memorial.
