Amidst the vibrant tapestry of Washington D.C., the Bethlehem Church of God Holiness stands as a testament to faith and resilience. The church’s story began in May 1992. A group of believers, led by the late Pastor Fadinel Trémont, transformed their Friday night prayer meetings into something more permanent. Initially, there was uncertainty about the church’s future. Pastor Trémont hesitated to establish a formal structure. This changed after a church member’s dream. The dream urged Pastor Trémont to lead the congregation from the front, like Moses guiding the Israelites. On December 12, 1992, the Bethlehem Church of God Holiness was officially inaugurated, with Pastor Trémont as its leader. The late Rev. Osper Jean-Simon later joined as Assistant Pastor. The church thrived under their leadership. However, the year 2020 brought immense challenges. The church lost several members, including both pastors, to COVID-19. Despite the grief, the congregation persevered, holding onto their faith. Their prayers were answered with the arrival of Pastor Wellington W. Louissaint, who was inaugurated on April 4, 2021. The Bethlehem Church of God Holiness, located at 5898 Eastern Ave NE, continues to serve the community. It offers spiritual guidance and support to its members. It stands as a beacon of hope and a symbol of the enduring power of faith in the face of adversity. The church’s phone number is (202) 635-9318 for those seeking solace or connection.
