Ever imagined swimming in a pool with a history of serving Yuen Long for years? That is Yuen Long Swimming Pool. It is more than just a place to swim. It’s a community hub.

Yuen Long Swimming Pool is located at 10 Tai Yuk Road. It offers various facilities for swimmers of all ages and abilities. You can contact them at 2475 0184 or 2449 3506 for more information.

The Yuen Long Swimming Pool boasts several pools. There is a main pool that measures 50m x 21m with a depth of 1.4m-1.9m. A secondary pool also measures 50m x 21m but has a depth of 1.1m-1.4m. For training, there is a 25m x 11m training pool with a depth of 0.9m-1.2m. If you are into diving, there is a diving pool. It measures 11.75m x 11m with a depth of 4.5m-4.6m. There is also a toddlers’ pool. It has an irregular shape and a depth of 0.18m-0.3m. It is open from June to August free of charge.

The Yuen Long Swimming Pool has a spectator stand. It can accommodate 700 people. Family changing rooms are available. The facility is accessible to everyone. It features accessible toilets, a tactile guide path, and a fee-charging car park with an accessible parking space. A visual fire alarm system and a braille directory map or floor plan are also available.

The Yuen Long Swimming Pool follows a winter opening schedule. From November to May, the pool operates in three sessions. The first session is from 6:30 am to 12:00 noon. The second session is from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The third session is from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm or 10:00 pm. Session breaks are from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. During this period, only the main pool is open. Other pools are under maintenance.

The Yuen Long Swimming Pool closes temporarily for annual maintenance. The secondary pool, training pool, diving pool, and toddlers’ pool close from November 1 to April 15 of the following year. The main pool closes from April 16 to June 5.

The Yuen Long Swimming Pool also undergoes a weekly cleansing operation. It takes place every Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to the end of the second session. The pools resume service at the third session on the same day. If the cleansing day falls on a public holiday, it is rescheduled for another weekday.
