Journey back to the year 1227. Osluchov emerges from the mists of time. This small village, part of Žižice in the Kladno district, holds stories within its borders.
Osluchov is located seven kilometers east of Slaný. It sits along the road connecting Zvoleněves and Velvary. Imagine life here centuries ago.
Initially, Osluchov belonged to the monastery of Saint George. The village slowly evolved. In the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, townspeople from Slaný acquired parts of Osluchov.
In 1481, Jan Pytlík of Zvoleněves sold a farm in Osluchov. The buyer was Alš of Sehradic. Alš was a burgher from Slaný.
Fast forward to 1597. Hertvík Žejdlic of Šenfeld sold Osluchov to Kryštof Šlejvic of Šlejvic. Kryštof built a fortress near the farm. This marked a significant change for Osluchov.
However, the winds of fortune shifted again. In 1623, Bohuchval Šlejvic’s estate was confiscated. This was punishment for his role in the Bohemian Revolt.
Gottfried Hertl of Leutersdorf bought the estate in 1627. The fortress fell into disrepair during the Thirty Years’ War. Eventually, it vanished completely.
Later, Jan Ondřej Kotvice of Kotvic owned Osluchov. In 1682, he sold it and purchased Štětkovice. The ownership of Osluchov continued to evolve.
Let’s consider the population. In 2021, Osluchov had 86 residents. These people lived in 30 houses. The numbers reflect the village’s small size and close-knit community.
Osluchov was once an independent municipality. Between 1930 and 1950, it stood on its own. Since 1960, it has been a part of Žižice.
One notable figure hails from Osluchov. Bohuslav Kindl was born here in 1879. He became a politician and senator. He represented the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia.
