Further on, you’ll encounter a deserted old mansion before the trail climbs steeply towards Tung Yeung Shan. Don’t forget to look back as you ascend. Silvergrass blankets the landscape, creating a magical scene. It’s a popular spot, especially in late October and November, when the silvergrass is at its peak. Tung Yeung Shan offers more than just natural beauty. It also offers a glimpse into Hong Kong’s diverse trails. A short hike from the summit leads to Fei Ngo Shan Road. From there, you can continue to the Kowloon Peak Viewing Point or descend to Clear Water Bay Road and beyond. Even if you’re short on time, Tung Yeung Shan is accessible. A quick taxi ride to Tate’s Pass on Fei Ngo Shan Road puts you just a ten-minute hike away from the silvergrass-covered summit.
