The church expanded to a larger location near Ibirapuera shopping mall. This growth shows Igreja Betesda’s impact. Pastor Ricardo Gondim Rodrigues has led Igreja Betesda for many years. His progressive views have caused some controversy. He has championed LGBTQ+ inclusion. This bold decision has led to a decrease in attendance and financial difficulties.
