In 2001 the school was named equal first in The Australian newspaper. This was for the highest level in performing arts over a sustained period. The school’s bands are a popular activity. They involve students from across the school. In 2011 the band visited California. They performed at locations like Santa Monica Pier and Universal Studios. They even played outside Madame Tussauds on Hollywood Boulevard.
