Established in 1977 Chofu City No. 8 Junior High School is a public co-educational institution. It follows a three-semester system. This school quickly became an integral part of the community.
Initially Chofu City No. 8 Junior High School saw a decline in student numbers. This was due to a declining birth rate and the introduction of school choice programs. But it has adapted to these challenges.
As of 2022 Chofu City No. 8 Junior High School has 321 students. The first-year students are divided into four classes. The second and third-year students each have three classes.
