Over here lies Tin Wan. It is a charming area on the south side of Hong Kong Island. Tin Wan sits to the west of Aberdeen. It is also east of Kellett Bay and Wah Fu Estate.

Tin Wan was a small village. In 1911, the population of Tin Wan was just 111 people. 67 of those residents were men. Today, Tin Wan is much bigger. The population in 2016 was about 17012 people.

Tin Wan has public housing. The Tin Wan Estate is named after the area. Hung Fuk Court is another housing estate here. It houses almost 2000 people.

Do you smell the delicious food? Ping Kee Restaurant is a local favorite. It is known for its amazing soup noodle dishes. You will find it on Ka Wo Street.

Do you hear the children? SKH Tin Wan Chi Nam Primary School is in Tin Wan. Apartment buildings of Tin Wan Estate surround it. Tin Wan is in Primary One Admission School Net 18. This net includes many aided schools. These schools are funded by the government. Hong Kong Southern District Government Primary School is also in this net.
