“Halak Mahabari Hakuhila Alu Lartz Od Lifani Hamlahama,” Rabbi Breish once said. “When the rabbis arrived, they came to fulfill him. They were always a minority of people. Most of the community were ordinary people.”

Established in 1958 by Rabbi Moshe Dan Breish, this synagogue serves the needs of the local Hassidic community. Rabbi Breish, a Belzer Hassid, aimed to create a “principal Hebrew city” that would attract more religious people. This synagogue is still active. It is led by Rabbi Aharon Rookach, the Rebbe’s son-in-law.
Beit Knesset Dvari Haim – Kahal Hassidim continues to thrive. It serves as a vital spiritual and communal center. The synagogue conducts morning services at 6:00 AM. Afternoon services are at 2:00 PM on weekdays. On Saturdays, morning services start at 9:00 AM and afternoon services are at 2:00 PM. The building is located on Ben Yehuda 155.
Originally, this synagogue was a smaller building. It served as a haven for Holocaust survivors. The community has grown significantly since its establishment. It now accommodates many worshippers from diverse Hassidic backgrounds. These include Ger, Rozhin, and other prominent groups in Tel Aviv.
Rabbi Breish emphasized the importance of unity. He wanted to honor both the Haredi and the Hiloni communities. He famously stated, “The Hilonim honor the Haredim and the Haredim honor the Hilonim.” This inclusive approach has allowed Beit Knesset Dvari Haim – Kahal Hassidim to flourish.
