In 1938 a significant public ceremony took place at the Harmonie am Paradeplatz. People from Würzburg Kitzingen Lohr am Main Rothenburg ob der Tauber and Schweinfurt attended. Some had previously been part of the Anthroposophical Society which was banned in 1935. The Christengemeinschaft continued its religious practices secretly after being banned in 1941.

A pivotal moment arrived in 1977. They became independent gaining their own pastor.

Their journey culminated in 1998 with the acquisition of their own property. A dedicated church space was consecrated on October 4th 1998 on Albert-Hoffa-Straße.
