Nestled near Lane Cove National Park Naamaraoo is a truly unique place. It’s more than just a conference centre. It’s a piece of Sydney’s history. Originally part of the Moore Estate a significant portion of the land was gifted to establish the national park in 1938.
However a part remained. This became Naamaraoo. It’s been used as a youth recreational camp and a conference centre. The Uniting Church ran it for many years. It even has its own rare zoning RE2 Private Recreation. This allows for a multitude of uses. Think childcare community facilities education or even registered clubs.

In 2022 Naamaraoo was sold to The King’s School. They plan to continue the existing uses. The school has promised to work with the community. The aim is to ensure any changes minimise impact. They want to ensure the special character of Naamaraoo is preserved.
