Overlooking Double Haven, Tiu Tang Lung stands tall. This peak offers breathtaking views. It’s a challenging hike, but worth it. Tiu Tang Lung sits in the northeast of the New Territories. It reaches a height of 416 meters. It’s known as the best viewpoint for Double Haven. This is because it’s the highest peak around the Double Haven coastline. There’s no official trail to Tiu Tang Lung. The paths are steep and rugged. They’re covered in dense grasses and scrubs. Even the unpaved parts are not very long. The overall difficulty is quite high. To reach Tiu Tang Lung, you start at Wu Kau Tang. You can get there by minibus 20R or bus 275R on Sundays and public holidays. From Wu Kau Tang, the journey to Tiu Tang Lung begins. The South ridge is the most popular route. From the summit, you can see the mountains around Plover Cove. You can also see the magnificent Double Haven. The route down can be tricky. Pay attention to ribbons marking the path to Sam A Tsuen. There are restaurants at Sam A Tsuen for refreshments. From Sam A Tsuen, you can walk back to Wu Kau Tang, completing the loop. Looking back at Tiu Tang Lung, you’ll appreciate the stunning views you’ve experienced.
