Solhemsskolan is located at Sörgårdsvägen 40. It welcomes students from preschool class up to year 6. For preschool class up to year 4 there are two classes per grade. Years 5 to 6 have four parallel classes.

After school students up to year 3 can participate in activities at the after-school center. Students in years 4 to 6 can enjoy activities at the recreation club.

Solhemsskolan forms a school unit together with Solhemsängens school. This collaboration enriches the educational experience for all students.

Solhemsskolan comprises three school buildings and a dining hall pavilion. The oldest building dates back to 1911. The newest was built in 2011. These buildings reflect the school’s long history and commitment to education.

Inside Solhemsskolan you will find specialized spaces. There is a music room a handicrafts room an art studio and a library. A smaller sports hall is available. It is used by the preschool classes and up to year 2. For years 3 to 6 there is a larger sports hall at Spånga grundskola. Home economics is also taught at Spånga grundskola.

The schoolyard is open. It invites play and movement. The artificial turf is used for outdoor teaching. It is also used for after-school activities. During breaks children can participate in organized activities. They can borrow materials from the shed. The school also makes regular use of nearby outdoor areas.

Lunch is provided by Spånga grundskola’s kitchen. The varied menu includes a generous salad buffet. This ensures students have nutritious and delicious meals.

The after-school center aims to spark interest and a desire to learn together. Teaching includes creative activities, movement and social interaction. The after-school center also offers digital creation activities. These include programming and film. The goal is for students to experience participation, curiosity. Solhemsskolan’s student health team consists of several specialists. These are the principal, assistant principals, a counselor, a school nurse, and a school doctor. The recreation club is open to students in years 4 to 6. It offers various activities. These include table tennis, billiards, studio projects and outdoor fun.
