What is unique about the University of Health Sciences in Laos? The University of Health Sciences in Laos is the only institution in the entire country dedicated solely to training healthcare professionals. Established in June 2007, this relatively young university has already made a significant impact. The University of Health Sciences comprises seven distinct faculties: Basic Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing Sciences, Medical Technology, and Postgraduate Studies, in addition to the administrative Cabinet of UHS-Laos. The University of Health Sciences is more than just a standalone institution. It is part of a larger complex known as CHIPU, the Complex Hospitalo-Instituto-Projecto-University. This integration allows students to gain practical experience in prominent national and regional hospitals within the CHIPU network. The University of Health Sciences has a vision.
