Ever wonder what a renovated library looks like? The Bull Run Regional Library, reopened in September 2022, stands as a testament to the power of community investment. This isn’t just any library. It’s a hub of learning, creativity, and connection, right here in Manassas. The Bull Run Regional Library first opened its doors in June 1994. It was the second regional library in Prince William County. The western side of the county was rapidly growing. The Bull Run Regional Library provided much-needed resources. At the time, only a small library in Haymarket served the area. The library was built alongside Chinn Park Library. Funding came from an $11 million bond referendum approved in 1988. The recent renovations have transformed the Bull Run Regional Library. It now boasts a new Makerspace, an additional study room, and updated areas for children and young adults. There’s even a dedicated tween area. The open floor plan and new furniture create a welcoming atmosphere. The building itself is 25,000 square feet. It houses 30 public computers, a 125-seat community room, and a quiet study room. The library also offers curbside pickup, mobile printing, and proctoring services. The Bull Run Regional Library is more than just a place to borrow books. It’s a vital resource for the community, a place where people can learn, create, and connect.
