DaiyaGate Ikebukuro serves multiple purposes. It houses offices retail spaces and parking facilities. The total construction cost was approximately 38 billion yen. The highest point of the building reaches 99.98 meters.

The building has two underground floors. It has twenty above-ground floors and one penthouse level. The main structure is made of steel. Some parts use steel-reinforced concrete. It features an intermediate seismic isolation structure. This helps protect it from earthquakes.

DaiyaGate Ikebukuro has a unique design. It incorporates the concept of a railway diagram. This is reflected in its exterior steel bracing. The name “DaiyaGate” comes from this design. “Daiya” suggests the railway diagram. “Gate” refers to the way trains pass under the building.

Seibu Railway owns DaiyaGate Ikebukuro. The building was designed by Nikken Sekkei. The construction was a joint effort by Obayashi Corporation and Seibu Construction. Kyudenko handled the mechanical aspects. Kandenko was responsible for the electrical work.

Inside DaiyaGate Ikebukuro, floors one and two are retail spaces. You will find a FamilyMart and Takeda Lingzhi there. Floors four through eighteen are office spaces. Three Seibu Group companies have their headquarters on floors 14 to 18. These companies include Seibu Holdings and Seibu Real Estate Solutions.
