Agapé Mission Church started its journey in 1985. It began as a campus ministry at the University of Maryland College Park. This ministry laid the foundation for its college ministries. These ministries now touch students’ lives across ten colleges and universities.

In 1994 the ministry’s leaders felt a calling to form a church. After prayer they began meeting in a lecture hall. This hall was at the University of Maryland Baltimore County campus. It was August 1994.

The Agapé Mission Church felt a stronger call to serve communities. In 1996 they moved their worship place to Columbia Maryland. By the summer of 2002 they relocated. Their new home became the Agapé Ministry Center in Elkridge Maryland. This location sits between Baltimore and Washington D.C..

Agapé Mission Church fosters fellowship in various locations. They have ministry groups in Columbia Baltimore and Washington D.C.. These groups cater to singles couples and families. They also minister to college students. These students attend many universities in the Washington-Baltimore metro area.

Over time Agapé Mission Church’s commitment deepened. It led to planting other churches. These include Agapé Life Church in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Also Agapé Harvest Church in Raleigh-Durham North Carolina. Furthermore Ecclesia Paris in Paris France. And most recently Ecclesia NYC in Manhattan New York City.

Agapé Mission Church operates independently. It holds an evangelical theological stance. They remain open to the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Followers of Christ gather here to passionately worship God. Their calling involves living by and sharing God’s Word.

The church believes in one God. This God created all things and loves humanity. He exists eternally as Father Son and Holy Spirit.

They believe Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit. Born of the Virgin Mary He is true God and true man. Jesus died on the cross for our sins. He rose from the dead and ascended to heaven. He intercedes for us.

Agapé Mission Church considers the Bible as God’s inspired Word. Both Old and New Testaments reveal His will for our salvation. The Bible serves as the final authority. It guides Christian faith and life.

The church believes in the Holy Spirit’s ministry. The Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus Christ. He convicts and regenerates us. He empowers believers. He guides instructs and fills them. This empowers godly living and service to others in love.

Agapé Mission Church teaches that humans are born in sin. They need a new birth to see God’s kingdom. Justification comes through grace alone. This is through faith in Jesus Christ.

The church believes in the true Church. This Church unites people in the body of Christ. Jesus Christ is its head. Its mission involves worshiping God. It witnesses Jesus Christ by preaching the Gospel. Also by demonstrating righteousness justice and love. This is on behalf of all people.
