For years services and Sunday school were held in homes. Then in 1885 the original clapboard church was built on land from Mr Emile Lerch. It wasn’t until 1901 that the steeple was added. The church bell was also replaced at that time. The current building however saw its first service on Good Friday 1951. Additional classrooms were added in 1965. This is a testament to the growing congregation’s needs. This demonstrates the church’s commitment to its community. The parsonage built in the early 1940s served not just Galesville. It served ministers of Shady Side Owensville and Mt Zion churches as well. The educational wing built in 1965 replaced the elementary school that once stood nearby.
