It emerged from the merger of three prominent institutions: the Instituto Unificado Paulista, the Instituto de Ensino de Engenharia Paulista, and the Instituto de Odontologia Paulista. This union, orchestrated under the name Sociedade Unificada Paulista de Ensino Renovado Objetivo (SUPERO), laid the foundation for what UNIP Jaguaré is today. The driving force behind this ambitious project was entrepreneur João Carlos di Genio, the chairman of Grupo Objetivo. His vision extended beyond the traditional boundaries of education. He sought to create an institution that would not only impart knowledge but also foster innovation and entrepreneurship. Today, UNIP Jaguaré, as part of the larger UNIP system, boasts a student population exceeding 240,000. This vibrant community thrives within a network of 27 campuses and 65 units across Brazil. UNIP Jaguaré’s commitment to accessibility is evident in its robust distance learning program, established in 2004.
