What is the vision behind the Chinese Christian Mission Centre? Many organizations focus solely on their immediate surroundings. However, the Chinese Christian Mission Centre, or CCM as it’s often called, has a much broader vision: “Reaching the Chinese to Reach the World”. This vision was inspired by Rev. Thomas Wang, who founded the very first CCM in Detroit, Michigan, in 1961. Driven by a desire to share the Gospel with Chinese communities worldwide, the movement quickly expanded.
In response to the growing Chinese population in Canada during the late 1970s, CCM Canada was established in 1979. The headquarters found its home right here in Vancouver. Since then, CCM centres have sprung up across the nation, in cities like Calgary, Montreal, Toronto, Richmond, and Edmonton, acting as beacons of faith and community support.
