Early parishioners gathered in a parishioner’s home, then a fire station, and even a theater before the first church was dedicated in 1939. This original structure now serves as the lower level of the Parish Hall, a tangible link to the church’s modest beginnings. Our Lady of Lourdes officially became a parish in 1946 under Bishop Peter Ireton. The current church, a beacon of faith and community, was built in 1963, its first Mass celebrated on Christmas Eve of that year. The church was formally dedicated on March 7, 1964, marking a significant milestone in its journey.
