“A church built in just 13 years? That’s impressive!” Right in front of you, stands the kaplica pw. Zwiastowania Pańskiego. Don’t let its modern exterior fool you. This place of worship has been a cornerstone for the community since its construction, finalized in 1997. The history of kaplica pw. Zwiastowania Pańskiego actually begins a few years earlier. In June 1981, a procession marked the future home of the parish, culminating in the raising of a cross. A year later, the very ground we’re standing on was consecrated. The first mass was held right here, in the open air! Imagine the community coming together, their shared faith laying the foundation for the church that would rise. The church itself was designed by Nikander Jakubowski. The first mass within the still-under-construction church was held on Christmas Day, 1987, a testament to the dedication of the parish. However, kaplica pw. Zwiastowania Pańskiego is more than just bricks and mortar. It’s a testament to faith and perseverance, a beacon that survived a near-devastating fire in 1993. Today, the kaplica pw. Zwiastowania Pańskiego stands as a beacon of hope and faith, a reminder of the power of community and the enduring spirit of Warsaw.
