It’s nestled within the beautiful Blue Mountains National Park. This special spot offers a warmer experience than some lower campsites. It might be more exposed to the elements though.

Bennetts Ridge Campsite provides a primitive camping experience. There’s no power or running water. Pit toilets and picnic benches are available. Large fire pits are perfect for marshmallow roasting. Remember to bring your own firewood. Fallen wood plays an important ecological role. Don’t strip the area bare.

While you’re here remember the importance of water. Bring plenty of drinking and cooking water. Euroka Creek does have water. You need to go upstream to find it though. The water isn’t suitable for drinking straight away. You’ll need to filter it first. The taps at the park entrance are notoriously slow. Filling a jerry can could take 5 to 10 minutes. Consider filling your containers before you arrive.

Bennetts Ridge Campsite isn’t without its quirks. Large groups can sometimes book the whole campground. Loud parties are also possible. You may wish to avoid weekends if possible. Sulphur-crested cockatoos roost here at dusk. They make a loud noise at dawn and dusk. It’s peaceful during the day. Don’t expect to sleep in.

Park fees apply and aren’t included in your camping fees. You’ll need to pay separately. You can get an annual pass for all NSW national parks. Remember to pre-book your campsite.
