In 1922, a seed of education was planted in the heart of Tokyo. This seed blossomed into the Jumonji Junior and Senior High School. Jumonji Gakuen, the educational foundation behind this esteemed institution, was founded by Koto Jumonji. She, along with her friends from Tokyo Women’s Higher Normal School, dreamt of a place where women could empower themselves through education.
