The first house on this land, built by João Ifanger Júnior in 1912, still stands today. As São Paulo industrialized and expanded, the Sítio São Miguel began to change. Vila Suíça specifically refers to the land owned by Maria and her husband, Léo Ming, which they sold to Bela Vista Empreendimentos Imobiliários Ltda. The area’s development focused solely on residential houses. This made it a sought-after location in Indaiatuba, which lacked such planned neighborhoods at the time.
The name “Vila Suíça,” therefore, is a direct homage to Maria Ambiel Gut and her Swiss heritage.
