Captain Cook Cruises launched its first vessel, a modified 1943 Fairmile B motor launch aptly named Captain Cook, on January 26, 1970. Regular cruises started from Circular Quay. They journeyed to Middle Harbour and along the Lane Cove and Parramatta Rivers. The fleet grew to include custom-built vessels like the Captain Cook II and the Lady Geraldine. These elegant ships ferried passengers past stunning waterfronts and hidden coves. Captain Cook Cruises became synonymous with Sydney Harbour. In 2011, SeaLink Travel Group acquired Captain Cook Cruises. This ensured the continuation of this iconic Sydney experience. Today, Captain Cook Cruises operates a fleet of over 20 vessels. They offer everything from hop-on-hop-off ferry services to elegant dinner cruises.
