Grimstaskolan stands in the Vällingby district of Stockholm. This school has been a cornerstone of the community since its construction in 1956 and 1957. Architects Gösta Nordin and Olof Ellner designed Grimstaskolan. Their vision brought this educational institution to life.
Notably Grimstaskolan temporarily moved to Kirunagatan 22-28. This relocation to St Jacobi happened because Grimstaskolan’s original building on Kanngjutargränd 12 is being renovated. The renovation is expected to conclude before the autumn semester of 2026. Then the school will return to its original location.
The school’s importance extends beyond education. Grimstaskolan is recognized as a building with high cultural and historical value. The aula is especially noteworthy. Einar Forseth created its monumental paintings. These artworks add a unique artistic dimension to the school.
