The story continued as Minano once again embraced its neighbors. Kunikami, Kanazawa, and Hinozawa rejoined Minano in 1955. Misawa followed suit in 1957, completing the Minano we know today. Minano’s population has seen its share of changes too. In 1950, the population stood at 14,852. By 2020, it had decreased to approximately 9,302.
