Seventy-six souls can sleep within Cabin Camp 3 Unit C. Imagine this sprawling complex nestled within Prince William Forest Park. Built in 1938 Cabin Camp 3 Unit C was revolutionary. It was the first camp built with larger cabins. These were designed to accommodate mothers and their young children. Today Cabin Camp 3 Unit C stands as a testament to a bygone era. It offers a unique group camping experience.
Six cabins each sleep ten. Additional sleeping areas in the infirmary craft lodge and Building 70 add eighteen more spots. That’s seventy-six people total. Each cabin provides basic amenities lights electrical outlets bunks and mattresses. There’s no heat or air conditioning. Campers must bring their bedding pillows and towels.
The camp boasts a central restroom. Additional restrooms are located in the dining hall craft lodge and infirmary. Campers are responsible for their cleanliness. Plungers and toilet brushes are provided. Campers must bring their hand soap detergents and other toiletries. Toilet paper is supplied.
The dining hall seats eighty. It features a commercial kitchen. The park doesn’t supply food. Wooden tables and benches are provided. The kitchen is well-equipped. Craft lodges are available but sleeping isn’t permitted inside. Groups can use the fireplaces per fire code.
Outside fire pits and fireplaces in the dining hall and craft lodges can be used. Firewood must be USDA certified pest-free. The camp has a designated parking area. One vehicle per group is allowed at the dining hall. Handicap-accessible vehicles are also permitted. Campers should carpool to minimize parking congestion.
There’s a small playground near the craft lodge. Small fields are available for recreation. Hiking and biking trails are nearby. Check-in is at 2 pm. The permitee must be present. A park staff member will conduct an inspection cover emergency procedures and provide information. Check-out is at 12 pm. The camp must be clean and empty. The permitee must be present for check-out. A final inspection for cleanliness and damage will take place.
