Did you hear about the Chromebook cart comeback at Redland Middle School? It’s true. Redland Middle School, home of the Bulldogs, has returned to the classroom Chromebook cart model. This means students no longer take Chromebooks home daily. If families need a device, they can request one. Redland Middle School, located in Rockville, Maryland, serves students from Cashell Elementary, Judith A. Resnik Elementary, and Sequoyah Elementary. These students later move on to Magruder High School. The school’s colors are burgundy and black. The Bulldogs value respect: for oneself, for others, and for the school. Redland Middle School strives to create contributing members of global society. They focus on academic growth, personal development, and social responsibility. Their mission is to ensure every student’s success through excellent teaching and learning. Currently, about 576 students attend Redland Middle School. The student body is diverse. Roughly 10% of students are Asian, 22% African American, 41% Hispanic, 19% White, 6% two or more races, and smaller percentages represent Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander and American Indian/Alaskan Native populations. In spring 2025, Redland Middle School buzzed with activity. A piano sale offered instruments at discounted prices. The PTA partnered with Gourmet Asian Bistro for a “Bulldog Bites” fundraiser. Yearbook orders were due by March 1st. Reminders went out about required vaccinations for new students and 7th graders. The school also provided information about pesticide applications and technology support for parents. Redland Middle School’s attendance line, 240-740-0905, was available for reporting absences.
