Marlton Community Park opened on April 1 1985. It wasn’t built overnight. A group of dedicated people had a vision. Jay Gonzalez Carl Jones John Lenahan John Hackett and Charles Hill founded the corporation in 1980. They purchased the land in 1981. The park’s master plan was drafted in 1982. Their hard work transformed a vision into a reality.
Today Marlton Community Park boasts two pavilions. Three modern playgrounds provide fun for children. Youth sports facilities thrive here. A paved walking and running track winds through the park. It’s divided into three loops. The longest is 1.16 miles. Locals love it. Woodstown Little League Woodstown Soccer Woodstown Lacrosse and the Woodstown Pirates all use its fields. The park has a football field nine soccer fields five baseball fields a T-ball field two softball fields and a lacrosse field. The park really is the heart of the community.
