Founded in 1996, the Wyższa Szkoła Technologii Informatycznych was the brainchild of visionaries at the Polish Academy of Sciences. They dreamt of a place where technology and innovation would converge, nurtured by the brightest minds in Poland. The academy, represented by the Foundation of System Sciences Propagation, played a pivotal role in establishing WIT. Interestingly, although not a state-run institution, WIT quickly gained recognition. By 2003, it was granted the status of a higher education institution associated with the prestigious Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland.
