In 2002, the high school section moved to a new campus near Shenzhen Polytechnic. The Baihua 6th Road campus continued its high school program with new staff and students. This means there are now two separate high school programs within Shenzhen Experimental School. The school’s history includes a merger with Huaqiang Middle School. This school became the junior high school campus at Baihua 7th Road. The system also includes an elementary school at Hongli Road and a kindergarten at Baihua 5th Road. A boarding school was added when the school acquired the Asia Pacific International School in Nanshan District. Shenzhen Experimental School Senior-Junior School Department offers a vibrant environment beyond academics. The school is known for its strong sports programs. The Principal’s Cup, an annual basketball and football competition, is a major event. The school also participates in city-wide track and field competitions. Music and drama also play a significant role at Shenzhen Experimental School Senior-Junior School Department. The school has a renowned student choir and philharmonic orchestra. Both groups have received awards and recognition for their performances. The drama society puts on productions during Chinese Week and English Week. The school hosts an annual Art Festival and a Science Festival, showcasing student creativity and innovation.
