Stepping back in time, imagine a small group of believers gathering over thirty years ago. This marked the humble beginnings of the Grace Chinese Christian Church in Sydney. The church, originally a bible study group, officially registered in 1984. They initially held services in borrowed space at an English-speaking church in Kogarah. Services were held every Sunday afternoon in Mandarin and Cantonese. English services were added later. The Grace Chinese Christian Church grew quickly. They needed their own dedicated space. In 1987, after much prayer and fundraising, they purchased their current Kogarah location on Acton Street. The church continued to expand its reach and influence. Recognizing the need for spiritual guidance in the Hurstville area, the Grace Chinese Christian Church began holding services there as well. The church’s commitment to serving diverse linguistic communities is evident. They offer services in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin across their different locations.
