It likely dated back to the 1940s. Easts Holidays operated the site until 1998. Then, the NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service took over.
Since 1998, the park has transformed. There has been a lot of tree planting and bush regeneration. Habitat creation has changed the look and feel of the tourist park. Campsite E is part of this revitalized area.
