Muddy Hole Farm Park is a 13.6-acre park. It is located at 7941 Kidd St in Alexandria. Fairfax County Park Authority owns the park.

A brand-new playground opened here in November 2024. The community celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Kids and families enjoyed a fun afternoon exploring nature.

The playground has modern equipment. It is designed for children aged 2 to 12. A slide, climbing features and a double-bay swing set provide entertainment. Sensory features stimulate the senses. The playground surface is Poured-In-Place for safety and accessibility. The old playground equipment was originally installed in 2002.

The Park Authority’s Wonder Wagon also visits. This mobile nature center offers games and hands-on activities. Interactive exhibits bring local wildlife to life.

Park Authority Executive Director Jai Cole said it’s all about fun. Seeing neighbors play together is rewarding. Supervisor Rodney Lusk is thrilled with the new features. He says the playground creates lasting memories.

Muddy Hole Farm Park also has other amenities. There are tennis and basketball courts. Open fields provide space for recreation. You can play frisbee, have a picnic or walk your dog.

The park has a paved trail. It is less than a half mile long. The trail is easy to walk. It is mostly flat with a gentle slope. The trail is between two and four feet wide. There is little shade.

General park amenities include seating, picnic tables and grills. Pets are allowed on a leash. Trash cans are available.
