It’s a record-breaker, the world’s largest, a sprawling spectacle of color and narrative. Mural Leão stretches an incredible 5,700 square meters. The sheer scale of the artwork at the Cacau Show factory is breathtaking, wrapping around the building’s corners. It’s a kaleidoscope of colors, depicting an indigenous tribesman navigating a river of chocolate. This imagery isn’t random. It’s a powerful connection between the sweet treats produced inside and the traditions of the Amazonian cocoa farmers who make it all possible. Even at 100 km/h on the highway, the message of Mural Leão is clear. It’s a tribute to the cocoa workers, a celebration of their dedication. The mural’s creator, Eduardo Kobra, already a Guinness World Record holder for his Rio de Janeiro mural, surpassed himself with this monumental piece. The process was a feat of engineering and artistry. Kobra’s team worked tirelessly, perched on crane-lifted platforms, for over two months. They used 4,000 spray cans and 300 gallons of enamel paint to bring this vision to life. Alexandre Costa, president of Cacau Show, envisioned Mural Leão as a reminder. He wanted people to appreciate the journey behind every chocolate bar they enjoy, from the Amazonian origins to the final product. Mural Leão is a testament to the power of art to connect us to our world, to its people, and to its stories.
