He envisioned a community nestled amidst nature. Street names like Arabian Avenue Bronco Lane and Gelding Lane reflect the farm’s history. Horses once roamed these very lands.
The original development included 96 homes. It expanded to 117 with the completion of the Serenade section. Hicks Farm lacked trees. The developer planned for plantings. One original tree remains near Massonoff Court.
Homeowners planted cherry trees in the 1970s and 80s. The initiative started on Hicks Drive. It spread throughout the community. A group purchase ensured abundant blossoms. Now those cherry trees paint the streets pink each spring. Their fragrance perfumes the air.
