Ever wondered what it’s like to encounter an albino kangaroo? At Tierpark Tinnum, that dream might just come true.

Welcome to Tierpark Tinnum, a unique family-owned park located in Tinnum on the beautiful island of Sylt. This park isn’t just a place to see animals. It’s an experience designed to bring you closer to nature.

Tierpark Tinnum spans approximately three hectares. It is home to around 400 animals. Here, you’ll find both native and exotic species. The park particularly appeals to families with small children.

Many birds reside here. You can marvel at the vibrant colors of flamingos, parakeets and parrots. Emus and various types of waterfowl also call this park home.

Among the animals are also European species like fallow deer and squirrels. Children love the domestic animals such as donkeys, goats and pot-bellied pigs. For those seeking exotic creatures, Tierpark Tinnum features Barbary sheep, wallabies and porcupines. However, you won’t find any apes or large predators here.

One of the most memorable activities at Tierpark Tinnum is the chance to feed some of the animals. You can purchase zwieback, a type of rusk, to feed the animals. Imagine the joy of hand-feeding a gentle donkey or a curious goat.

For a relaxing experience, take a ride on one of the pedal boats on the park’s pond. In the middle of the pond, there is an island inhabited by peacocks. A boat can carry four people. You can ride as long as your legs will allow.

Tierpark Tinnum also offers several attractions for children. There’s a playground with a bouncy castle. You can find a small merry-go-round. You can also discover an old tractor near the alpaca enclosure where children can climb.

Feeling tired? Benches and beach chairs are placed throughout the park. The perfect opportunity to relax or have a picnic. You can purchase refreshments at the kiosk near the entrance.

Don’t be deceived if Tierpark Tinnum appears small at first glance. The park extends beyond the initial enclosures. Hidden benches, beach chairs and even alpacas await discovery.

One unique feature is the alpaca enclosure. These animals often gather under the trees during sunny days. But they are not shy.

Before you leave, take a moment to appreciate the panoramic view. A small viewing platform offers an overview of the entire Tierpark Tinnum.

The Tierpark Tinnum is open from April to the end of October. The daily opening hours are from 10 AM to 7 PM. However, please note that these hours may vary depending on the weather. Admission is 14 euros for adults and 7 euros for children between 3 and 14 years. Remember to bring cash, as card payments are not accepted.

Tierpark Tinnum is more than just a zoo. It is a place where families can create lasting memories. Its charm lies in its intimate atmosphere and the opportunity to connect with animals. So come and experience the magic of Tierpark Tinnum.
