Intrigued by a zoo where you can cuddle with wild cats? That’s the idea behind the mini ZOO in Prague-West.
This unique zoo offers visitors the opportunity to get up close and personal with its animal residents. The mini ZOO has been operating since April. It aims to bring people closer to animals. It wants to show their natural behavior.
Founder Filip Valášek hopes to change people’s ideas about animals. He especially wants to highlight their protection and needs.
Currently, the mini ZOO features six pumas. It also has a leopard and one lion. About 120 reptiles also live here. Visitors can have full contact with these animals. The founders plan to expand the zoo in the future.
Most zoos forbid any contact with animals. This is for safety reasons. Even petting zoos usually only allow a pat on the head. But this mini ZOO drops you right into the pens of pumas, leopards, and even lions. Imagine cuddling with these wild cats as visitors have in Facebook photos.
The mini ZOO is located in the village of Zvole in Prague-West. You can get there by taking Prague buses 331 and 333. The mini ZOO is open daily from 10:00 to 17:00.
Admission is voluntary. You can choose to pay what you wish. Your money supports the project and helps feed the animals.
Keep in mind that most of the exhibits are outdoors. Visiting when inclement weather is expected is not recommended.
The mini ZOO in Prague offers a truly unique experience. It lets you connect with animals in a way you never thought possible.
