The roots of Renascer Diadema trace back to October 6 1998. Members of the Catholic Community of Paróquia Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes identified a need. They saw the need to provide social support to the elderly population in the region. From this realization Associação Renascer was born.
In February 2008 Associação Renascer took on a significant responsibility. It assumed management of the Centro de Convivência da Melhor Idade C.C.M.I. Região Sul. This was done through an agreement with the State Government. The Secretariat of Social Assistance and Citizenship of the Municipality of Diadema was also involved. This partnership led to the implementation of educational programs. These programs included training for staff and group meetings for the elderly. It enhanced activities for the elderly population.
For 21 years Renascer Diadema has been working in Diadema. It has been actively involved in socio-political education. It empowers people to know their social rights. The church supports participation in movements related to healthcare transport housing and women’s rights. It even strengthens family relationships.
