From humble beginnings in a Durbanville house Oakhill Church stands tall. Its story is one of faith community and growth. Pastor Louis du Piesanie and his wife Lizette planted the seed in 1996. Their vision blossomed from a house on Tara Street. The church soon outgrew its home. The congregation moved to the Durbanville Town Hall. Pastor Louis became Lead Elder in 2000. Over the next two decades Oakhill experienced remarkable growth. The church’s dedicated team witnessed God’s provision. Funds for a new building appeared miraculously. Lives were transformed. Oakhill’s mission is to inspire and guide people to embrace Jesus. The church embraces a family-like atmosphere. It is a safe place for all. Oakhill is a place where people are valued regardless of their quirks or differences. The church emphasizes the five purposes of life: Encounter Engage Equip Empower and Export. These five purposes represent a life-long journey of faith. They guide members in their spiritual growth and service to others. Today Oakhill Church thrives at 64 Verdi Boulevard Sonstraal Heights Durbanville. It continues its mission to share God’s love and transform lives. The future looks bright for Oakhill Church. The best is yet to come.
